Chimney Rock State Park

The 535-million-year-old monolith for which the Park is named is right in view from the river at Riverside Lodge, and can be seen from many balconies. From the top, you have a 75-mile panoramic view of Hickory Nut Gap and Lake Lure. Whether you embrace the hike to the top or utilize the state of the art elevator, at over 2,200 feet above sea level this experience may take your breath away!

FAQ for The Riverside Lodge at Chimney Rock

  • None of our rooms have kitchens. The suites have microwaves and coffee makers. However, we have a microwave and coffee in our lobby for guests.

  • Yes. You can fish in the river for trout with a license. You can grill your catch on our riverside grill.

  • No. All of our rooms are non-smoking.

  • All rooms have access to either a private or shared balcony (detailed in room descriptions) except Room 14. However, there is a great deck off the main lobby!

  • We have 1 pet friendly room, all other rooms are strictly no pets. Call for more information.
